Jerry South

The Jerry South aggregation is located 15 km south of the township of Jerramungup. Jerry South was the third aggregation acquired in the southern WA region and is located in the Albany port zone along with Gunnadoo.

Originally three separate farms, the aggregation was put together in 2016 by Lawson Grains. The property had traditionally been run as a mixed farming operation. Significant investments have been made to develop the property into a large-scale cropping aggregation, including the development of new shedding and the construction of two new houses for our people to live in. An extensive road network as also been installed to support efficient operations.

A large-scale gypsum program was employed to ameliorate the typically heavier soils, along with significant rock removal and the elimination of contour banks to enable efficient cropping operations.

Our people at Jerry South are active members of the Fitzgerald Biosphere Group and regularly host on-farm trials and field days to share learnings with other growers.
